JI demands PM to call govt, Taliban committees session, war not the solution, says Yousaf
Taliban committee coordinator said Maulana Samiul Haq will soon call a session.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Taliban committee coordinator Maulana Yousaf Shah has reiterated that war was not the solution, adding that the aristrikes will lead to more issues.
The Taliban committee coordinator said Maulana Samiul Haq will soon call a session over current situation.
He said a telephonic conversation was held with Taliban political shura and central leadership while a complete report was forwarded to Maulana Samiul Haq in this regard.
He also confirmed a contact between Maulana Samiul Haq and interior minister Chaudhry Nisar. He said the interior minister was informed about committee s concern over the recent situation.
He also said that the government and the Taliban should show some patience and flexibility.
Meanwhile, Jamaat-e-Islami chief Syed Munawar Hassan has demanded PM Nawaz Sharif to convene a session of Taliban and government committees. Munawar Hassan said he feared that a military operation may lead to formation of another Bangladesh.
