Karachi: Two policemen among three shot dead, plot to attack Rangers foiled
This was third attack on officials of any law enforcement agency during last 12 hours.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - At least three persons including two policemen were gunned down and four others were injured in different areas of the city on Thursday.
At least four policemen were killed during last 12 hours while a plot to target Rangers officials was foiled.
As per details, the miscreants opened firing on a police vehicle near Shafique Moar killing two police constables Asif and Javed and injuring three others including police officials Saleem and Ashfaq.
According to SSP Central Amir Farooqi, four assailants opened firing on police vehicle from two different sides. This was the third attack on the law enforcers during last 12 hours.
On the other hand, a youth namely Sajjad was shot dead in Karsaz area. According to police, the incident was result of resisting a robbery attempt.
