State Minister for privatization Khurram Dastagir resigns
Khurram Dastagir is likely to be made federal trade minister.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - State Minister for privatization Khurram Dastagir has tendered his resignation, Dunya News reported on Saturday.
According to sources, he had reservations over the formation of privatization board. Dastagir also wrote a letter to PM Nawaz for formation of board for privatization, however, no response was received.
The sources said Khurram Dastagir is likely to be appointed as federal trade minister. He is already holding the portfolio of Minister of State for commerce and textiles.
Meanwhile, the resignation has not been accepted as yet.
Dastagir took charge of the office of Minister of State for privatization on June 23. Before that he was inducted as minister of state for science and technology on June 12.
