Karachi: 11 suspects arrested during Rangers raids
A heavy contingent of Rangers conducted search operation on a tip-off.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Eleven suspects were taken into custody and several types of weapons recovered from them in a targeted operation conducted by the Rangers near Ijtama Gah ground in Manghopir area on Sunday.
A heavy contingent of Rangers along with the women troops on a tip-off went into action launching a targeted operation had sealed off the all the exit/entry roads.
Rangers’ sources said that the operation was conducted on the information of the presence of terrorists belonging to banned outfits and eleven suspects were apprehended, while 28 weapons of different types were recovered during the operation. The persons taken into custody belong to gang war and banned outfits, while the two persons allegedly involved in an explosion that had taken place a few days ago were also caught.
It may be recalled that three alleged terrorists riding motorcycles were killed in an explosion a few days ago in the same area.
