Protest demos held against electricity, POL price hike
Protesters shouted anti-govt slogans and demanded withdrawal raise in POL and power prices.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Activists of mainstream Opposition parties and common people Wednesday took out protest rallies against the increase in POL prices and power tariff.
PPP staged a protest demonstration in Multan that started from Chowk Nawan Shehr.
A large number of citizens participated in the protest rally and shouted anti-governemnt slogans.
PTI workers took out a protest rally from Kalma Chowk in Toba Tek Singh and slammed the anti-people policies of the government.
Strike was observed at District Bar Vehari while the lawyers also organised a protest demonstration against the increase of POL prices.
Transporters also staged protest rallies in different areas of Faisalabad.
The protesters blocked the roads and shouted slogans against the government.
The transporters warned that if the notification for the increase in electricity and power prices was not withdrawn, they would give call for a countrywide wheel-jam strike.
