PML-N decides to retain Ishrat as Governor Sindh
PML-N leadership thinks replacing Ishrat at this stage can damage the reconciliation process.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – According to PML-N sources, federal government has decided not to replace Governor Sindh Israst-ul-Ebad for the time being.
The decision has been taken in the light of the ongoing operation in Karachi and PML-N and MQM relations.
Government thinks change of Sindh governor at this stage could affect the operation adversely and also the damage the process of reconciliation with the MQM.
Pakistan Muslim League had earlier hinted at changing the Sindh governor and name of Mumtaz Bhutto was being tipped for the slot.
Meanwhile, MQM sources have said that governor is a representative of the federation and that Ishrat-ul-Ebad was best performing this role.
