Govt finally acknowledges 'Punjabi Taliban': Gilani
Former PM says the existence of 'Punjabi Taliban' has now been confirmed on the government level.
MULTAN (Dunya News) - Former Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that the existence of Punjabi Taliban has now been confirmed on the government level.
He said that in the past the Punjab government been denying the presence of Taliban in Punjab.
He said this while talking to media persons on Sunday.
Gillani said Pakistan People’s Party-led coalition government had to work very hard to complete 5-year term, adding it was not an easy task.
“There was no political prisoner during our government and we refrained from politics of violence and revenge,” he said.
Congratulating the PPP candidates who won seats in the by-elections Gilani said popularity of PPP had increased.
