Indians protest in front of Pak-bound Dosti Bus in Amritsar
Sikhs were protesting against alleged killing of Indian soldiers by Pakistan Army in Ponch sector.
AMRITSAR: Indian protesters Friday stopped the Lahore-bound Dosti in Amritsar bus coming from New Delhi and raised anti-Pakistan slogans.
They were protesting against the alleged killing of troops at the Line of Control.
The protestors surrounded the bus and chanted slogans against Pakistan.
Police were called in to control the protestors after which the bus was allowed to proceed to Lahore.
According to Pakistan authorities Dosti Bus reached Lahore Friday evening.
Demonstrations in India spared after the propaganda by India government and media accused Pakistan Army of killing five Indian soldiers at the LoC.
The youth wing of the Congress party Wednesday stormed the Pakistan High Commission and tried to enter the building.
Pakistan has strongly rejected New Delhi’s’ charges and demanded security of its staff in the High Commission.
India Thursday warned Pakistan that the killing of five Indian soldiers by Pakistan troops at the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir earlier this week will affect relations between the two countries.
The latest attack in the Poonch sector of the state again threatens peace talks between India and Pakistan that had resumed in 2011.
“It is now clear that the specialist troops of Pakistan army were involved in this attack when a group from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir side crossed the LoC and killed our brave jawans,” defence minister AK Antony said in the Lok Sabha on Thursday.
The government initially didn’t blame Islamabad directly for the ambush, with Antony saying in Parliament on Wednesday that the attack had been carried out by terrorists dressed in Pakistan army uniforms, triggering protests by opposition parties.
