Taliban release video of kidnapped Gomal Zam Dam workers

Eight employees of Gomal Zam Dam were kidnapped by Taliban on August 15, 2012.

 

DERA ISMAIL KHAN (Dunya News) - Taliban released video of kidnapped employees of Gomal Zam Dam from an undisclosed location in South Waziristan on Friday.


A one and a half minute video is in Urdu in which the hostages can be seen sitting outside a brick house recording their message.


In the video message with request of efforts for the early release of the kidnapped employees, an official namely Shahid Ali Khan, along with other workers, is appealing to Khyber-Pakhtunkhawa Governor Engineer Shaukat Ullah, CM Pervez Khattak, WAPDA Chairman Shakil Durrani and Member Water GM North Rashid Ali Bangash.


Releasing the video, Taliban have threatened to shoot the hostages to death in the next video if their demands are not accepted.


They said the government would be responsible for all this.
