Ruckus in IHC: Wasi Zafar freed after apology

Wasi Zafar was elected from NA 176 on PML (Q) ticket in the 2002 elections.


ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court on Wednesday ordered to arrest former law minister Wasi Zafar after he created ruckus in the court.


Zafar appeared before the court in a family dispute case on Wednesday. During the hearing, he got emotional and violated the decorum of the court.


Upon which, the bench headed by Justice Shaukat Siddiqui ordered his arrest, which was followed by the police.
Later, he made an unconditional apology to the court which was accepted by the bench following which the police released him.

 

It may be mentioned that Zafar was the law minister in the cabinet of former president General (retd) Pervez Musharraf. He was elected from NA 176 on PML (Q) ticket in the 2002 elections.
