Peshawar: Attack on check post, 6 FC personnel killed
The bodies and injured were shifted to nearby hospital.
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) At least six Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were killed and seven others injured when militants attacked the Kishan Ganga check-post near Frontier Region (FR), Jina Kor.
The police confirmed the incident and said that militants also kidnapped two security forces personnel.
According to police, militants attacked the check post at 11:00 pm. A heavy exchange of fire between security forces personnel and the armed men ensued and continued till the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Furthermore, the bodies and injured were shifted to nearby hospital and search operation was started for the recovery of missing soldiers.
Few months back, the militants had kidnapped 22 FC and later killed them after tying up their hands and feet. Later, the dead bodies were found from Jina Kor.
