MQM observes day of mourning in Sindh
Several localities in Karachi gave a deserted look today.
KARACHI (Web Desk) - Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) is observing a day of mourning today (Thursday) to protest against the killings of its three party workers in Malir.
Businesses and educational institutions in Karachi and other cities of Sindh remained shut on the occasion.
Moreover, schools, shops and petrol stations were closed in Karachi. Several localities in Karachi gave a deserted look.
The Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi, postponed its examinations that were scheduled for today. The exams will take place on Friday (June 7).
Earlier, a sit-in was staged outside the Chief Minister House against the killing of three MQM sympathizers whose bodies were found in Memon Goath area of Malir on Wednesday.
A large number of MQM workers and leaders attended the protest which continued till late night on Wednesday.
