Polls manipulated under conspiracy: Zardari
Zardari says he will be among the workers after completion of his term as president.
LAHORE: Addressing the ticket holders of Pakistan Peoples Party, Asif Ali Zardari said local and international actors played their part in the elections, and whole polling process was manipulated.
He said he could not take part in election campaign because of his limitations as president of Pakistan and security reasons.
“I will soon be with the workers and lead PPP from the front,” he said adding his children will also be in the field.
About the results of Elections 2013, Zardari said PPP was sidelined in the elections under an international conspiracy.
However, he said PPP would examine the causes of the poor performance in the elections.
He said a committee headed by Aitezaz Ahsan would look into the poor performance of the party in the elections.
Zardari said some PPP enthusiasts did not like his policy of reconciliation.
He said he would congratulate Nawaz Sharif if the PPP workers allowed him.
