CEC to hold talks with Baloch leaders tomorrow
The Commission will meet all political leaders including Brahamdakh Bugti and Sardar Akhtar Mengal.
ISLAMABAD (Online): The Election Commission has convened a meeting of political‚ religious and nationalist parties of Balochistan in Quetta on Thursday.
A delegation of Election Commission headed by Chief Election Commissioner Fakhruddin G Ebrahim to hold talks with Baloch leaders on their reservations about elections.
Talking to newsmen in Islamabad‚ Secretary Election Commission Ishtiaq Ahmed Khan said members of the Provincial Election Commission are also in contact with the Baloch leaders.
He said members of the Commission will meet all political leaders including Brahamdakh Bugti and Sardar Akhtar Mengal and persuade them to take part in looming elections.
He said the commission will also visit Punjab‚ Sindh and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa provinces. The provinces will be asked to devise security plan for the elections.
