PPPs CEC gives go ahead to PM for reshuffling Cabinet
Central Executive Committee of Pakistan Peoples Party has given free hand to Prime Minister for reshuffling the Federal Cabinet while CEC showed full trust on President Asif Ali Zardari, reported Dunya News. Addressing the CEC meeting President Zardari said that some forces in establishment didnt want PPP government to fulfill its tenure however government was ready to face challenges. He ruled out any clash with PM and Army Chief on internal and external issues. Sources told that Senator Safdar Abbasi raised the matter of restoring Aitizaz Ahsans CEC membership on which President said he would decide after holding consultation. Ghazanfar Ful and others stressed the need of improving party affairs. Presidential spokesman Farhatullah Babar told that PM and President held one-on-one meeting prior to the CEC meeting. PM informed President about the Baloch leaders suggestions on Balochistan package. Sources revealed that meeting decided to foil any attempt aimed at undermining the constitution or democracy. The meeting also praised PPP victory in Gilgit-Baltistan polls. President's tough approach was justified: Fauzia WahabOn the other hand PPP Central Information Secretary Fauzia Wahab told Dunya News that President's tough approach in the CEC meeting was justified. She maintained that President hinted at those people who spread misinformation about the party and use inappropriate language for the President. She told that NRO, Gilgit-Baltistan polls and other issues were brought under discussion in the meeting.
