Karachi violence claims 7 more lives

At least seven people were killed in acts of violence in different parts of Karachi.

 

According to details, some unidentified gunmen shot dead a religious party worker, Fayyaz Soomro in Sarjani Town while two dead bodies were recovered from Northern Bypass area. The deceased were identified as Maqbool Ahmad and Akhtar Ali. According to police the deceased were abducted from Turbat area of Balochistan.

 

Some unidentified persons opened fire on a car in Korangi area and killed one man and injured four others, including a police official.

 

Some miscreants riding on motorcycles opened fire and killed Shah Room, Imran and Rahim in Patel Para. The killing sparked violence in the area and angry mob set ablaze two motocycles.

 

Meanwhile, a bomb exploded near Gora Qabrustan at the Sharea Faisal, however, no casualties have been reported in the incident.

 

The bang was heard far across from the site of the blast where until this afternoon a sit-in was staged to protest the bomb blast in Quetta that killed 89 people belonging to Hazara community.

 

Police personnel and teams of rescue services reached the spot. According to police, the bomb was planted in the battery of a car.

 

According to police, the explosion left a two-foot deep crater on a side of the road under FTC flyover on Sharea Faisal.
