Karachi: Military barracks catch fire

A massive fire erupted at a military office at Shahrah-e-Faisal in Karachi, no casualty reported.

 

According to details, a massive fire broke out at one of the barracks of the Pakistan armed forces situated at the Shahrah-e-Faisal on night between Saturday and Sunday.

 

Four fire tenders and one snorkel reached the site of the blaze and started rescue operation. The blaze was so massive that fire tenders from across the city were called in. More than two dozen ambulances also reached the sight.

 

The fire tenders brought the blaze under control after a hectic effort of more than two hours.

 

According to a spokesman of the ISPR, the fire was caused by short circuit. The fire has damaged two floors of the building.
