Lahore High Court bans Tyno syrup
The court has banned the sale and purchase of the cough syrup.
LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) ordered to stop sale and purchase of deadly Tyno syrup, which caused over 19 deaths in Punjab.
In a petition seeking ban on the deadly syrup, LHC has also issued notices to the concerned authorities to inform the court regarding the measures taken for the safety of patients.
The petition was moved by Advocate Azhar Siddique, stating that more than 19 deaths from the cough syrup occurred in different parts of the province.
The court also directed doctors not to prescribe Tyno syrup to their patients.
