42 terrorists killed during last 24 hours in operation Rah-e-Nijat: ISPR

Security forces have killed 42 terrorists during operation Rah-e-Nijat in South Waziristan and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition in last 24 hours. One soldier was also martyred and two others were injured said an ISPR press release on Tuesday. On main Axis Jandola Sararogha, security forces cleared village Zeriwam and dominating hill features along East and West ridges. The dominating ridges around the main road and village Ganra Kas and Konar Height have also been fully secured. Security forces are conducting search and clearance operations in secured areas. Security forces have completed sanitization of Garlai. During engagement five terrorists were killed while one soldier embraced Shahadat.On Shakai - Kaniguram Axis, security forces have cleared area along road Sherwangi-Ladha axis up till road track junction. Forces have moved forward ahead of Chalwastai on road Shakai-Kaniguram and have reached in the suburbs of Kund Mela-Momekaram. The area has been cleared of terrorists and search and clearance operation to remove mines, IEDs and booby traps is under way. During operation seven terrorists were killed.Razmak- Makeen Axis, security forces have surrounded Nawazkot and are dominating the important ridges ahead of Nawazkot. Forces also regained control of old FC Post at Nawazkot and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition from the area. Security forces effectively engaged with terrorists at Pakallita Sar, Manza Sar, Green Ridge, Lahgar Narai, Zar-e-Sar Base, China and Makeen. During engagement reportedly 30 terrorists have been killed. Forces cleared Tip Ghar, and Laghar Narai and consolidation is under way. Terrorists fired two rockets at Razmak Camp resultantly two soldiers were injured.
