Karachi violence claims 13 more lives

At least 13 people were killed in different incidents of firing and violence in Karachi on Tuesday.

Some miscreants entered into the office of Director Education Shamim Akhtar Khan in Jamshed Qauarters and opened firing.ShamimAkhtar Khan was critically injured and was shifted to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.In another incident, manager of a private bank Amir Naqvi was killed and Muhammad Ali Abbas was severely injured in firing on their car near Mochi Mor in Gulshan-e-Iqbal.A local office bearer of Pakistan Peoples Party Sajjad Balti was killed in firing on a shop in the limits of Shahrah-e-Noor Police Station. The PPP workers reached Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and shouted slogans against the occurrence of the incident.A police official Shafi was shot dead near Five Star Chorangi. The deceased was serving as an ASI at Liaquatabad Police Station.Mutilated dead body of a youth was found from Machar Colony and two other bodies were found near Crown Cinema at Maripur Road while dead body of 67-year-old Javed Iqbal Qureshi was found from Bihar Colony in Lyari.An owner of a construction company Ahmad Memon was killed when some unknown persons opened firing on his car in the limits of New Town near National Stadium.Moreover, police issued pictures of two security guards who stole Rs 10 million from the van of a private money exchange.
