Rimsha case: Witnesses against Jadoon withdraw statements

The court adjourned the hearing of the case until Oct 3.

District and sessions judge Islamabad Justice Raja Jawad Abbas heard a bail plea filed by the Imam of mosque of Khaild Jadoon.During the proceeding of the case, two witnesses Khurram and Danish said that the police had coerced them into recording the statements in writing against Jadoon. The both witnesses again recorded their sworn statements and submitted their affidavits terming Jadoon innocent in the case.Jadoon was arrested on Sept 1 after Hafiz Mohammad Zubair, a prayer caller at the same mosque, testified against him before a magistrate.
