Karachi: ST to take out rally against sacrilegious film

Sunni Tehreek (ST) has been allowed to take out protest rally against sacrilegious film in Karachi.

Despite the ban on rallies and processions in Karachi, Sunni Tehreek has been allowed to take out protest rally against anti-Islam film. Sunni Tehreek chief Sarwat Ijaz Qadree has said that the participants will remain peaceful during the protest rally.A spokesman of Sunni Tehreek, Faheem Qadree, informed that the permission for the rally was granted after negotiation between Sarwat Ijaz and Governor Sindh.Earlier, during a press conference Sunni Tehreek leader Mufti Rehan Amjad Rehmani said that staging a peaceful protest is their democratic right and rally will be taken out at any cost.On the other hand, police uprooted Sunni Tehreek camps, established in different areas of areas of the city for the purpose. Meanwhile, heavy contingent of police have been deployed at the route of the rally.
