Several hundred lawyers protesting an anti-Islam film produced in the United States have broken through a gate into an area in Islamabad that houses the U.S. Embassy and other foreign missions.Police stopped the demonstrators before they could reach the U.S. Embassy, which is surrounded by another set of high walls and protected by security guards.Wednesdays protest follows three days of violent demonstrations in other parts of Pakistan against the film, which denigrates Prophet Muhammad. Two protesters were killed in those demonstrations.In Dera Ghazi Khan, students took out rally and chanted anti-US slogans. Shutter-down strike is being observed in different parts of Tharpakar where protest demonstrations were also held.A protest rally was taken out from session court in Peshawar that ended near press club. Hundreds of protesting students burned tyres and blocked Sher Shah Suri road. The protestors demanded that government should end its ties with the United States.A protest demonstration was also held in Dera Ismail Khan on the call of traders union. The protestors set US flag ablaze at Topan Wala Chowk.Similarly, rallies were carried out in Tehsil Pahario, Borewala, Renala Khurd, Bahlwal, Haroonabad and Lower Dir.As per details, at least 28 people have died in demonstrations against the film throughout the Muslim world over the past week, including the U.S. ambassador to Libya.
