Karachi: Woman among 6 injured in firing incidents

At least six people were wounded in firing incidents in different parts of Karachi.

According to details, some unidentified persons opened fire in New Karachi area and wounded a woman while two other people were injured in firing incidents in Gulbahar and Korangi.In a separate incident, Rangers have arrested two dacoits during an operation in Nazimabad 4 Number while police have arrested an accused after an encounter in Mubeena Town. Another accused manged to escape from the scene. According to police, the arrested person was wanted in several cases of robbery.Meanwhile, the resident of Maripur staged a protest on the killing of a youth in the area and blocked Maripur Road for all kinds of traffic. Long queues of vehicles were seen on the road during the protest which lasted for more than two hours. The demonstrators dispersed peacefully after negotiation with police.
