Fakhruddin's appointment ensures fair elections: PM

PM Raja felicitated Fakhruddin G Ibrahim on assuming the office of Chief Election Commissioner.

The Prime Minister in a message said the appointment of Fakhruddin G. Ebrahim as CEC would ensure a free, fair and transparent election which was a long cherished goal of all political parties, democratic forces, civil society and media.Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf expressed his confidence that the new Chief Election Commissioner will utilize all his energies to ensure transparent elections in the country.He said no one can question the transparency in the coming elections after the appointment of Fakhruddin G Ibrahim.PM Raja said forthcoming election would be truly reflective of people’s choice and would provide no chance to raise questions on its credibility.
