Two dead as newly constructed bridge in Lahore collapses

At least two people were killed when a part of a pedestrian bridge collapsed in Lahore.

According to reports, a pedestrian bridge at Ring Road in Harbanspura area collapsed on Thursday morning. Two people lost their lives in the incident.Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has taken the notice of the incident and ordered an immediate inquiry into the matter. An investigating team has been formed to probe into the matter.Police have arrested construction company’s owner Khalid Rauf and handed him over to anti corruption departemnt.
