Ephedrine scam: Secretary Narcotics hampering probe: SC

There has been a clear interference in chemical scam probe, observed the Supreme Court.

The apex court further observed there have been efforts to cover up the matter. The Supreme Court declared null and void the decision to freeze the funds for the prosecutor. The court also observed that Secretary Narcotics Zafar Abbas was hindering the probe. The court also directed to proceed according to the law to complete the investigation.The Anti Narcotics Force was asked to cooperate with Sheikh Rashid who had desired to be party in the case. The court also barred secretary Narcotics from working as the DG ANF.The court also cancelled all the transfers made recently in the ANF. It may be pertinent to mention that PM’s son Ali Musa Gilani is also a accused in the chemical scam case.
