Foreign Office denies any Saudi pressure on Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project.

In the weekly news briefing, Foreign Office Spokesman Abdul Basit said that Pakistan is willing to have normal relations with the United States, but future lies with the Parliament, which was presently reviewing the term of engagement with the US. “Pakistan wants normal relations with the United States but their new dimensions will be set by the Parliament which is discussing the future line of action with the US,” said the Foreign Office Spokesman.He said Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani will pay an official visit to the United Kingdom next month. “Prime Minister Gilani will hold wide ranging talks with his British counterpart and other leaders focusing on further strengthening bilateral ties and enhancing strategic dialogue during his official to UK,” said Abdul Basit.
