MUMBAI (Web Desk) – Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan has left India and returned to Pakistan after Indian extremist party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) gave a 48-hour ultimatum to leave their country.

They also threatened that Fawad Khan’s next release ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ won’t be released in India.

According to Hindustan Times, the actor has halted plans of a premature return and will stay in Pakistan until the situation in under control.

The warning came after the attack on Brigade Headquarters in Uri Town of Baramulla District earlier this month in Indian-held Kashmir that has heightened tensions between the neighbouring countries.

On the other hand, Indian director Nitin Kakkar has denied signing Fawad Khan for his upcoming movie, which will be produced by Salman Khan Films.

While talking to Indian Express, the director negated the rumours and said, “I haven’t signed Fawad. I have read the news in papers which is surprising because I haven’t signed Fawad yet. I am doing a film for Salman Khan’s production and B.R. Chopra’s co-production. We are meeting several actors. Nothing has been signed yet or put to paper yet.”

Reports were there earlier that Fawad will be playing the main role in Salman Khan’s next production ‘Jugal Bandi’ alongside Anil Kapoor.

“Someone over enthusiastic wrote that. I am not making any urban love story with Fawad Khan. Nothing like that. We are still in the process of casting actors. Nothing concrete yet. And as soon as someone is signed, we will also announce. Right now speculations are being made,” he clarified.

Commenting on the threat given to Pakistani artists to leave India he said, “An artist doesn’t belong to any religion or country as per me. They are pigeons of peace who carry the flag of peace in their hands. Be it cricket, theatre, music or films, if you ban them then your last hope for peace will end. Whatever is alive is because of us artists. If we hand everything to politicians they would have destroyed it by now. It’s absurd and stupid which we know. The claims they are making are only for their own vote banks.”
