Italian wins 147 million euros in lottery jackpot

An Italian from the small town of Bagnone, in the central region of Tuscany, won Europe's biggest ever lottery jackpot of more than 147 million euros ($210.5 million) on by spending just two euros. It was the first time anyone had picked the six number combination of the state-run SuperEnalotto lottery since January 31. The rising jackpot had sparked a betting frenzy across Italy and even lured tourists from neighbouring countries to play. Name of the winner is not disclosed. The locals of the area gathered at the point where the ticket was sold. They expressed joy, saying that it was an honor for them that somebody from their town had won such a big lotter.
