Peshawar police arrest accused involved in murder of transgender Gul Panra
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - Peshawar Police has arrested the main accused involved in the murder of transgender Shakeel alias Gul Panra. Accused Rafiullah is from Afghanistan.
According to CCPO Peshawar Muhammad Ali Gandapur, transgender was killed on September 9 while returning from a wedding, another member of the community was injured. Three accused were charged in the case.
According to police officials, special measures have been taken to protect the transgender community and SP City and ASP Gulbahar have been appointed as focal persons who will address issues on priority basis.
Teams were also formed to arrest other accused involved in the incident.
