Dr Maha's medico-legal report reveals possibility of murder
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Dr Maha Shah s medico-legal report has revealed the possibility of her murder.
According to the report, Dr. Maha was a right hander while the bullet hit Dr. Maha in the head from the left side and came out from the right side.
Officials have said that if the report is correct, it will raise suspicions that the crime scene was fake.
Investigative sources said that a request has been made to the magistrate for exhumation of Dr Maha’s remains on the basis of the medico-legal report.
If Dr. Maha s death is proved to be murder in the investigation, then the family can be included in the investigation.
It may be recalled that a few days ago, Dr. Maha Ali, a woman, shot and killed herself in the Defense area of Karachi.
Junaid, a close friend of Dr Maha, had told police in a statement that he had been in a relationship with her for the past four years and the two were about to get married.
Junaid said that he used to pick and drop Maha at a private hospital every day but on the day she committed suicide, Maha forbade him to come to her home.
Her friend Junaid said that Maha used to quarrel with her parents often. Maha used to live in depression due to domestic problems, he added.
Police had termed Dr Maha Ali s death as suicide based on investigation and police sources said that Dr Maha Ali committed suicide out of frustration due to her friend Junaid.
Recently, Dr. Maha Ali Shah s father Asif Ali Shah said in a press conference that his daughter was being blackmailed and subjected to physical abuse.
Dr. Maha s father said that an organized group including Junaid, Dr. Irfan and Waqas first drugged his daughter, then blackmailed and threatened her which led to her death.
Meanwhile, the court has released on bail Irfan Qureshi, the accused in the case of Dr Maha s suicide.
