Karachi: Police arrests 4 accused wanted in murder of Advocate Farhat Ali
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Karachi Police has taken strict action against criminal elements as police have solved two important cases in the span of few days and have arrested four accused of extorting money from traders and killing a lawyer after kidnapping.
According to details, Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) investigation unit has conducted an important raid in Mahran Town Korangi and arrested an accused involved in taking extortion money from the traders.
According to SSP Irfan Bahadur the accused confessed his involvement in dozens of criminal activities. The extortionist Shahid had demanded extortion of Rs 10 million from businessman Muhammad Imran. He used to send messages from his mobile phone demanding money and was also nominated in terrorism cases.
Meanwhile, Central District Police has arrested four accused. According to SSP Arif Aslam Rao, the accused kidnapped Advocate Farhat Ali Askari, a member of the Chamber of Commerce, a few days ago, disguised as clothes trader and demanded a ransom of Rs 40 million from his family.
The accused had killed Farhat Ali and dumped his body in a river in a suitcase. Weapons have been recovered from accused Owais Ali, Faizan, Iftikhar and Saad.
