IG Punjab orders crackdown against beggars and drug addicts
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab IG Shoaib Dastgir has ordered to launch a crackdown against the beggar mafia and drug addicts across the province.
During a meeting held at CCPO Office Lahore, Shoaib Dastgir directed to take strict action against those who force minors to beg. Such mafia does not deserve any kind of relaxation, the Punjab IG stressed.
IG Punjab further said that action against drug addicts who pose as unemployed workers should also be expedited. The beggars and drug mafia who cause trouble for the citizens on the streets do not deserve any leniency, he added.
