Death warrants for 23 proclaimed offenders issued

LAHORE (Daily Dunya) – Death warrants for as many as 23 dangerous proclaimed offenders involved in murder, dacoity, extortion, kidnapping for ransom and other heinous crimes have been issued, ordering to kill them in police encounter.

Sources told that former Inspector General Punjab Mushtaq Sukhera directed RPOs and DPOs to take action against those corrupt police officials who are backing criminals. These included three DSPs, 10 inspectors, sub-inspectors, ASI and constable.

It was also observed that the corrupt police officials arrested some criminals like Nadir aka Lakha, Malik Dilawar, Shamim, Ramzan and Shehbaz and shifted them to private torture cells to refrain from filing their detentions while some of them were also assisted to escape during alleged encounters.

These dangerous criminals also have support from political personalities who not only use them for wrong deeds but also ensure their safety from security forces.
