Locals brutally torture man on a suspicion of child abduction in Shujabad
Security officers took Afzal into custody and shifted him to city police station.
SHUJABAD (Dunya News) – Locals brutally tortured a 40-year-old man on a suspicion of child abduction in Shujabad, reported on Tuesday.
According to details, the enraged residents assaulted an innocent man identified as Afzal for about one hour near railway crossing in Shujabad.
The victim was mentally ill and fell unconscious but the people continued beating him after which the police officers were summoned to handle the situation.
Security officers took Afzal into custody and shifted him to city police station for further investigation.
On the other hand, child kidnapping incidents are on rise in Punjab however, no such case has been surfaced in Shujabad so far but the natives attack disabled men including beggars and poor men on a suspicion.
