Customs officers recover, 2 kg of heroin, bullets at Islamabad airport

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Customs officials on Thursday foiled an attempt of smuggling heroin and bullets and apprehended as many as two suspects in two different incidents at Benazir Bhutto International Airport in Islamabad.

According to details, the customs officials recovered about 2 kilos of heroin from a Khushab resident who was scheduled to travel to Saudi Arabia via QR-633 flight.

The security personnel arrested the suspects and launched an investigation into the matter.

Separately, an American national Waleed Hussain was taken into custody for taking 29 bullets to Qatar via flight number QR-633.

The suspects have been handed over to police after initial interrogation.
