Woman hurls acid on husband's second wife in Islamabad
Fatima was admitted in critical condition in Burns Unit of PIMS hospital.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Angered by her husband s second marriage, a woman in Islamabad doused her husband’s second wife in acid today (Thursday).
According to details, the woman called the second wife named Fatima in a park and threw acid on her causing severe burns on her face and body.
She was admitted in critical condition in Burns Unit of PIMS hospital.
On the contrary her husband Javed Gauri is trying to suppress the issue as he has yet not registered case against her first wife.
Acid crimes are non-bailable and non-compoundable — cases cannot be settled through an out of court compromise.
According to a report issued by Acid Survivor Foundation, the total number of acid victims reported since 2007 stands at 1,231, with 675 female victims, 386 male, five transgender, and 165 cases where the gender of the victim was not available.
