(Dunya News)- International Cricket Council has formally recognized money-rich Indian Premier League (IPL) as global event in Future Tours Programme (FTP).

As per dates submitted by BCCI with ICC, IPL would be played each year from around the end of March until the end of May.

In nearly a decade, IPL has become most profitable league not only for BCCI but also for world’s best players many of whom prefer dollar-rich league over country’s assignments. Despite this, both CCI and ICC have both been against recognising an exclusive window in the international calendar as doing so mean a similar step for other leagues too.
