LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has directed the selection committee to revamp the Test team which failed to perform against struggling Sri Lanka in their last outing in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

As per details, the selectors will give preference to those players who perform well in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. The committee members will visit Karachi this week under chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq to monitor players’ performance.

It is worth mentioning here that the Green Caps had suffered a humiliating whitewash at the hands of the Islanders in October in two-match series after the retirement of former captain Misbah-ul-Haq and ace batsman Younis Khan.

The series was also the first assignment of Sarfraz Ahmed as Test captain who had led Pakistan’s Twenty20 International (T20I) and one-day international (ODI) teams before.
