National T20 Cup: PCB postpones semifinal amid tense situation

LAHORE (Dunya News)- Pakistan Cricket Board has on Saturday postponed semifinal of National T20 Cup amid countrywide protests against protesters staging sit-in at Faizabad, Islamabad.

The match was scheduled to be played in Rawalpindi today. The board said it is monitoring the situation and will update on the latest development.

PCB spokesperson stated that match was postponed due to tense situation. The match will now held on Monday. 

In first semi-final, Lahore Whites will take on Faisalabad while in second Lahore Blues will face FATA.

Meanwhile, a policeman lost his life while more than 100 people sustained severe wounds during an operation launched by police, Frontier Corps (FC) and Rangers personnel against Faizabad sit-in protesters on early Saturday morning after the deadline given by the local administration to clear the main road expired at midnight.
