List of highest paid head coaches in international cricket
Ravi Shastri tops the list with USD 1.17 million per year contract, suprassing England and Australia
(Web Desk) – Indian head coach Ravi Shastri tops the list of coaches getting highest pays annually in the international cricket circle, according to a report published by ESPNCricinfo.
Shastri earns more than most cricketers in the national teams. His salary is only lower than top Indian, Australian and English players. He can easily multiply his salary according to the number of years he stays as the head coach.
Shastri was previously the Team Director from 2014 to 2016. He became head coach after Anil Kumble’s resignation and rift with Indian skipper Virat Kohli.
2. Australia coach Darren Lehmann (USD 0.55M)
Australian coach Darren Lehmann earns around USD 0.55 million per year which is over half as compared to Shastri’s paycheck. He gets around half of what top Aussie players get as basic pay.
3. England coach Trevor Bayliss (USD 0.52M)
English head coach Trevor Bayliss earns USD 0.52 million annually which is close to that of Darren Lehmann but less than half of what India’s Shastri earns. He also gets around half of what top English players earn.
