LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan left-arm fast bowler Mohammad Irfan is eager to make a comeback in the upcoming series against Sri Lanka after his ban ended on September 14.
The tall fast bowler was initially banned for one year along with a fine of $1,000 for not timely reporting the bookies’ offers to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) which he received during the second edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL).
However, the ban was reduced to six months by the board after Irfan successfully managed to adhere to the suspension’s guidelines, and is now free to resume his career.
Mohammad Irfan said he is keen to play the Twenty20 series against the Islanders next month. He also expressed disappointment on failing to become a part of Pakistan squad due to his suspension in the historic series against the World XI to revive international cricket in Pakistan.
