Mohammad Amir and his wife are expecting their first child.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan left-arm fast bowler Mohammad Amir will miss the World XI Twenty20 series as he is currently with his wife in England and the couple is expecting their first child.

The preparations have been finalized for the tour and the World XI team have reached Pakistan on Monday. The matches are scheduled to be played at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore on September 12, 13 and 15.

International Cricket Council (ICC) Director Giles Clarke has said that it is not possible to imagine ICC and cricket without Pakistan, and termed Pakistan a safe country.

Clarke said the tour of World XI has opened doors for international cricket in Pakistan. He hoped that other international teams would also start touring Pakistan soon.

PCB Chairman Najam Sethi gave the good news that Pakistan will also invite South Africa after hosting Sri Lanka and West Indies, and looked hopeful that the Proteas will accept the invitation. He said Zimbabwe were the first to help Pakistan in the revival of international cricket, and are willing to tour Pakistan again.
