PCB Chairman said their next target is to hold international matches in Karachi

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Najam Sethi said on Friday that they have the support of government as well as Pakistan Army to give foolproof security to World XI which comprises of foreign cricketers to play three T20 matches against Pakistan.

Talking to a book launching ceremony today, he said cricket board also aims to hold international matches in Karachi next year. He revealed his plans of holding a farewell event for Shahid Afridi, Misbah-ul-Haq and Younis Khan.

He further told that six security experts from foreign countries were invited to Pakistan for the final match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) second edition. The international players only agreed to play in Pakistan after positive messages were sent abroad, he added.

Najam Sethi announced that Sri Lanka will tour Pakistan after the successful three-match T20 series. PCB has also invited West Indies to tour Pakistan. The cricket board has lined up these two international teams for the revival of cricket in the country.
