David Warner made 123 runs to help Australia edge past Bangladesh s first innings total of 305 before the hosts struck back to restrict their lead to 72 when bad light stopped play at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.

Off-spinner Mehedi Hasan and paceman Mustafizur Rahman took three wickets each for the hosts, who lead the two-match series 1-0 after winning the Dhaka Test by 20 runs.
