'And this is Our Baluchistan', tweets DG ISPR after Pakistan victory

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Cricket is undoubtedly the most loved sport in Pakistan, and when it comes to Pakistan-India clash, and that too in an ICC event, the whole nation stands still and does nothing but watching the Green Shirts playing against the arch-rival and praying for their victory.

Pakistan Army is no different either, as the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa witnessed the epic Pakistan-India clash in the final of ICC Champions Trophy that was played at The Oval on Sunday, and in which the Green Shirts crushed India by a humiliating defeat of 180 runs.

Director General (DG) Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor took to Twitter to congratulate the Pakistan team and the whole nation on behalf of COAS, and to let the people know about their interest in cricket.



Major General Asif Ghafoor said COAS congrats Team Pakistan and nation, and announces Umrah for team. He wrote that COAS said "Nothing beats  Team Work , Pakistan is a team against every threat."



DG ISPR further said CJCSC Gen Zubair Mahmood Hayat congrats Team and the nation on historic victory. Air and Naval Chiefs congrats Team and the nation, he added.



The most important moment during the entire tweeting session was, perhaps, when Asif Ghafoor shared some pictures and a video of victory celebrations from Balochistan and Srinagar respectively.

He wrote, And this is Our Baluchistan. "To whom it may concern". Lay off!




Major General Asif Ghafoor also shared celebrations of valiant soldiers of Pakistan congratulating Team Pakistan and Nation. United we shall defend Pakistan against all threats our enemies hatch, he said.



Let it be known that COAS also hosted a dinner at Army House for cricket legends Sir Vivian Richards and Ian Chappell on Friday, and thanked them for visiting Pakistan.
