Mohammad Amir suffers back spasm ahead of England clash

(Web Desk) - With the semi final between Pakistan and England ready to take place within minutes, news coming in from the Pakistani camp is that Pakistani ace bowler; Mohammad Amir is set to miss the crucial match owing to a back spasm. Amir got the spasm in the practice session whilst he was bowling in the nets.

Mohammad Amir, who was the hero of Pakistan’s previous game against Sri Lanka was all set to play the semi final before getting a back spasm minutes before the toss. Even though Amir was treated soon after, he could not recover in time to feature against England. Rumman Raees, who was selected in place of the injured Wahab Riaz, replaces the 25-year-old.



Amir has been a key bowler for Pakistan since his return to the team and has been consistently performing in the Champions Trophy as well. His loss could prove to be a big blow for Pakistan’s hopes of qualifying to the tournament final.

Meanwhile, sources also added that all-rounder Faheem Ashraf might be replaced with leg-spinner Shadab Khan against England.
