UN1 clinch PZ & UNHCR Tournament

Mr. Javed Afridi and Mr. Indrika Ratwatte graced the closing ceremony.

(Dunya News) – "Humanity" was declared the Real Winner as the PZ & UNHCR Cricket Tournament organized by Peshawar Zalmi Foundation & UNHCR Pakistan came to an end. The IOM team won the tournament which was organized to create awareness about Refugees and to highlight UN & UNHCR efforts to help these refugees.

UN1 beat IOM by 8 Wicket and won the PZF & UNHCR 6 over Challenge Cricket Tournament. IOM batted first at Shalimar Cricket Ground and score 63 runs in 6 Overs. Zeeshan was top scorer with 14 runs. UN1 achieved the target on last ball and won the final of Tournament by 8 Wickets. Ahsan played the match winning hand and finished on 35 runs.

In 1st Semi Final, UN1 beat Afghan Refugees while IOM defeated Raha Cell in the 2nd Semi Final. Ahsan was declared "Man of the Match" on his match winning inning while Kamal Khan of Raha Cell won "Player of the Tournament" award.

Chairman PZ and PZF Mr. Javed Afridi and UNHCR Representative Mr. Indrika Ratwatte graced the closing ceremony. Mr. Javed Afridi thanked UNHCR, all participant teams and media on staging the successful event.
