Hours after Pakistani players who represented Zalmi in the league met with the army chief, Samuels posted a video on Twitter stating that he would love to come back to Pakistan if General Bajwa awards him a batch of Pakistan Army and inducts him in the force.

He serves as a general in Jamaican force, Samuels added.

He said: “I wouldn’t mind coming back to Pakistan if I’m gonna get a metallic badge on my shoulder because in Jamiaca I am a General.”

The international cricketer said that he wishes that cricket is further promoted in Pakistan.

“I am a Pakistani at heart and that is why it didn’t take me long to decide to come to Pakistan,” he said. “I wish more cricketers come to Pakistan, international cricketers come to Pakistan.” Samuels said.

Zalmi won second installment of the league this season after Pakistan Cricket Board organised the final match in Lahore that saw many people raise security concerns including top leaders of political parties.

However, foreign players of the two finalist teams, Quetta Gladiators and Zalmi lauded security arrangements done in Lahore and Qaddafi Stadium for the March 5 clash.
